Statement on Covid-19

The President and Executive Directors of the International Collaboration for Community Health Nursing Research (ICCHNR) wish to express solidarity and support for the millions of nurses and midwives in communities all over the world working to prevent, control and care for people affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Throughout history, at times of crisis nurses play an essential role in using their knowledge and skills to care and maintain public morale. 2020, is no exception with the pandemic coinciding with Nursing Now’s Year of the Nurse and Midwife and the Nightingale Challenge.

As we face this major new challenge together, nurses and midwives will continue to play a vital role through community education, research and caring practice.   While you take care of others, take care of yourselves.
