ICCHNR New President

We are delighted to welcome Professor Fiona Ross as the new President of ICCHNR, announced in Edmonton, Alberta in May 2011. Fiona's long background in primary and community nursing research and the leadserhip she has shown throughout her career will clearly help us to take ICCHNR forward .

Previously she was the Director of the NIHR-funded National Nursing Research Unit at King's College London and prior to that, was the Faculty's first Chair in Primary Care Nursing. Over the last 20 years she has carried out evaluations of nurse-led interventions in primary care using multi-method approaches. Fiona has established interests in care of older people in community settings, long-term conditions, shifting boundaries between professional groups and teamwork. She recently completed an NIHR study on on the professional experience of governance and incentives in primary care, and currently leads a programme on patient and public involvement.

Fiona is the past editor in chief of the Journal of Interprofessional Care and is co-editor with Sally Redfern of the textbook Nursing Older People, now in its fourth edition.
